There was a time, when Sony Ericsson was known for that high quality sound handsets, but later Nokia has also adopted that trend with introducing Xpress Music series phones. Though, those Chinese made phones I remember, which were selling here in India without any warranty, at very low price. Still, there are lot of consumers who prefer a phone, who offers a good sound quality. Motorola has just worked for those consumers, with introducing new music oriented phone, Motorola Motosmart Mix XT550.

The newly introduced, Motorola Music Phone, still runs on Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread Phone, and I don’t read anywhere if it’ll support ICS update. But phone have a descent specifications, required by a average user. As said, Motosmart Mix XT550 is a musical phone, which has a Candy bar form factor, and equipped with display screen, which offers 320×480 pixels resolution. It runs on 800 MHz single-core Qualcomm processor, which is intended to provide average performance. With the 3MP Main Camera, and VGA Camera for video calling, the phone seems feature packed.

Motorola Motosmart Mix XT550 has dimensions of 118×67.3×11.9mm, and weighs 131.5g. There is a 512MB internal storage, and supports up to 32GB microSD card. It supports GPRS, EDGE, WLAN, Bluetooth, microUSB 2.0. There is built-in audio player, and video player also comes pre-installed. There is some embedded games, and user can download unlimited games from Android Play Store. The phone runs on a Li-ion 1735 mAh battery, which offers up to 300h standby time, and 10 hours talk time and up to 30 hours music playback claimed by company.

Overall, Motorola Motosmart Mix XT550 is not for those who require a hi-end Android Phone, but it is enough for the requirement of Music lovers. The phone comes with headsets, which are specially designed for that high beat music. The phone has a 3.5mm headphone jack, and can be connected to bigger speakers as well.
