ThecusPAD NAS Management Android Tablet Unveiled

A popular Tech Products maker, Thecus has forayed into the Tablets market, with announcing the launch of their first ever tablet, ThecusPAD. This tab has a unique design, and features Thecus NAS (which is major highlight of this tablet). From the pictures we received, the tablet seems to have a strong and durable design, which looks unique. The cutting edges on the front-sides and rounded on the back corners.

ThecusPad is focused for multimedia usage, which allows users to browse web and access media files and GPS Functions. This tablet even allows its users to manage and install modules Thecus ‘NAS’ easily. It is powered by a Nvidia Tegra 2 T250 based Cortex A9 1GHz Dual Core Processor, and runs on Android 3.2 Honeycomb Operating System. We haven’t heard word from the company regarding Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade support for this tablet, but we expect from the specs that it might be possible.
ThecusPad is having 7-inch HD 10-point Multi-touch screen, which offers 1024×600 pixels resolution. Hence, you can watch any HD Videos content or can access high-resolution content effectively. To provide a great sound, along with capacitive touch screen, company engineers have provided Stereo Speakers for crisp clear sound quality. There are two camera integrated on the back and front, 5MP main camera alongside 2MP front camera is integrated. There is micro-HDMI port and the Thecus Utlitity also provided, that makes it possible to stream data from NAS Server to TV, and you won’t require even adapter to connect NAS to the TV.
ThecusPad is completely built over to provide multimedia features, as company is developing new modules to enhance experience. This tablet can do multi-tasking, Thanks to powerful Specs including 1GB DDR2 RAM. The tablet feratures 8GB eMMC and support of 32GB microSD card. It supports all forms of connectivity including WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR GPS. The ThecusPad Tablet features eCompass Sensor, G-Sensor, Gyro-Sensor, Ambient light sensor, and Vibrator x2. It has dimensions of 196x121x13.5mm and supports Google Map Navigation.
Thecus has not revealed the Pricing and availability details of ThecusPad Tablet so far, we’ll update you soon once we get to know about the same.
