LG Launches Optimus 3D Max Glasses-Free Android Smartphone in Europe

The latest entrance in Glasses-free 3D gadgets list, which got featured at MWC 2012, has now started hitting the shores. The second Generation 3D phone, LG Optimus 3D Max has been released in Europe. It is powered by improved chipset, and enhanced 3D entertainment capability over its predecessor.

With the launch of LG Optimus 3D Max, LG aims to enhance their market share. Obviously smartphone looks decent enough in terms of specs and features. The smartphone is thin, and delivers a sharp picture in both 2D and 3D. The 3D converter has been provided in Optimus 3D Max, which converts Google Earth’s 2D content to better quality 3D content. Apart from this a 3D video editor is featured, which edit the 3D video instantly, additionally it allows to convert videos from either 2D to 3D or 3D to 2D.

The future will leash LG Optimus 3D Max with HD Converter, which is probably going to introduce in next update release. The HD Converter would allow users to watch HD content on a big screen HDTV, which can be connected through MHL, it will also feature Range Finder (to measure the camera and subject distance. Now let’s talk about Optimus 3D Max Specifications. It boasts of a 1.2GHz Dual-Core Processor, and included with a 4.3-inch 3D WVGA Display Screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 (Which is scratch less).

The camera is of 2x5MP, and VGA is present as front-facing for video calling. The phone has 8GB Internal storage, microSD card support of 32GB and 1GB Internal memory has been provided. The battery is 1,520 mAh which is expected to provide good backup. The 3D video can be enjoyed on TV, with DLNA wireless connectivity also, in addition to MHL. Further NFC is supported, and form factor has been made slimmer. According to company, the new phone is 20g lighter than LG Optimus 3D, which has been unveiled in MWC 2011. As of now, the phone has Android 2.3 Gingerbread Installed, but upgradable to Android 4.0 ICS. The LG Optimus 3D Max has a weight of 148g and it is just 9.6mm thin. The price has not mentioned in Press Release sent to us.
