Tabplus RIO Android Tablet Launched @ Rs. 11,990

The market of tablets is exploding, just like the waves of Dual SIM mobiles trend were in effect in 2010-2011. The tablets market is growing fast, and Indian companies are also participating in this growth. The new member among Tablets, has been presented by Bangalore Based IT company, Digital Waves. They have launched the ‘Tabplus RIO‘, an Android 2.3 Gingerbread Powered Tablet in the low-cost segment.

The company said they have designed tablet according to the needs of consumers. They have integrated the tablet, with a Cortex A9 1GHz processor, along with 512MB DDR2 RAM, to work smoothly with Android 2.3 OS. The 7-inch HD capacitive touch screen features 800×480 pixels resolution. The 32GB microSD card support is enough for most users, who want to upgrade their in-built 4GB Nand Flash 11 memory that this tablet offered with.

When we talk about form factor and weight, the Tabplus RIO have dimensions of 203x120x13mm dimensions, and 350 grams weight. The 1GHz processor, and 5 point capacitive touch screen probably provide smoother experience in multitasking as well, we will test it later for its work and play capabilities. As far as connectivity options are concerned, the Tabplus RIO supports 3G connectivity through USB dongle (selected models and to be sold separately). The users can access internet through 802.11 a/b/g and can download over 300,000 applications directly from Android market. Further, the Video Chat is enhanced with front-facing camera, and HD video playback support for entertainment.

Tabplus RIO is advertised as tabplusRIO, supports 2GB/4GB/8GB/16GB/32GB microSD cards, which enables users to install apps, and store their favorite music or movies collection. The 4 side G-Sensor comes with 3G option, which is touted to deliver awesome gaming experience to the owners. The tablet supports all audio and video formats, and integrates 3.5mm headphone jack to connect standard speakers etc., if in-built speakers are not enough. In addition to HDMI ports, there is microUSB, USB ports, and Card reader provided. This tablet is going to compete with Mercury mTab2, Beetel MagiQ Glide and some of few other tablets as well. tabplusRIO comes with a 3000mAh battery that could be expected for longer backup.
