The upcoming arrival of three new stunning camera by world leader in digital imaging, Canon have been announced. The three compact cameras are additions in Canon’s long portfolio. The two cameras are added in IXUS series, while one is from so popular Canon Power Shot series. The camera models includes Canon PowerShot G1X, Canon IXUS 125 HS and Canon IXUS 500 HS. The G1X is smaller package, while the IXUS 125 and 500 are engineered to be used by social enthusiasts. It is Canon’s bigger launch after the release of Canon PowerShot SX 150 IS, IXUS 1100HS, IXUS 230 HS back in August.
Canon claimed that these cameras incorporated with latest technology aims to capture vivid images with high detail. All of these newly arrived compact cameras equipped with DIGIC 5 image processor. It is revolutionary image processing technology, aims to make high quality picture with extreme details in any of lighting conditions. Canon claims that this technology reduces the visible noise, and enhances the accurate colors. This technology intentionally produces the true-to-life and accurate skin colors, to result it as crystal-clear images, even in low-light conditions without the need of any of tripod.
Equipped with EOS technology and CMOS sensor, the Canon PowerShot G1X deliver high-quality photos. Canon stated that this camera produces images in same quality, one expects from a hi-end EOS camera. This camera does the job of same, but in smaller package. It has a 14.3 megapixel along with 4x zoom, thanks to the 28mm lens. The camera is purely built for passionate photographers. Its combination of manual control with front control dial, also features optical viewfinder, which is basically found in high-end Digital SLRs. The lens is fully versatile, and eliminate the effort of users to change the lens. Users can capture photos aka shots with using 3-inch vari-angle LCD monitor. To preserve more image data at professional level, the PowerShot G1X also features capability to save images in 14-bit RAW format.
The Canon IXUS 125HS is a 16.1 megapixel camera with 5x zoom, whereas Canon IXUS 500 HS is 10.1 megapixel camera with 12x zoom, suitable for consumers with different needs and budget. Both the cameras claimed to capture outstanding quality images. These cameras features IS technology, which is designed to detect zoom position, and also shooting distance of camera to shot the exact moment and object. The Face ID feature, which is integrated in these cameras, enables users to register the name of 12 people, and users can tag their photos just after capturing directly into the camera. Users can set auto-focus as well as auto-exposure priority to those registered people, just to capture image with accurate detail as desired. The IXUS 500HS is also touted as slimmest camera in the world with 12x zoom. It can even deactivate flash, shutter, if it detected a sleeping child or man. The IXUS 125HS and IXUS 500 HS are capable to capture photos with 58 scenes, which is almost double compared to last models.
The price details of Canon PowerShot G1X, Canon IXUS 125 HS and Canon IXUS 500 HS are not unveiled yet.
