I am bit surprised while writing about this tablet news. The reasons of my reaction is Samsung’s decision, which i can’t find why they did this at such as time? Let me explain you further. Samsung India has just made available almost one year old Wi-Fi version of its Galaxy Tab which was reported by us during India launch in October 2010. To remind you once more, Samsung has named Wi-Fi version of its Galaxy Tab as Samsung Galaxy Tab P1010.
Right now, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Wi-Fi version aka P1010 (GT-P1010) is available on sale on Letsbuy (Out of Stock Currently), whereas Flipkart has listed as Coming Soon. The tablet was went on Sale in many countries including Singapore in March 2011. The specifications are obviously same of original Samsung Galaxy Tab, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab P1010 version adds Wi-Fi connectivity for wireless Internet advantage. The feature which surprised me at maximum is its OS support, the P1010 model of Galaxy Tab lacs latest Google Android Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) support, which is being supported by most of the devices available nowadays. That’s why, we can’t find the reason, why Samsung is launching an outdated devices, which is even can’t get updated to ICS.
