Motorola ET1 Enterprise Android Tablet Launched in Asia

Motorola Solutions has today announced the launch of its most rugged and specifically designed for business usage, the Motorola ET1 Tablet in Asia. This enterprise-class tablet is designed for durability rugged usage. The main features includes barcode scanner, magnetic stripe reader, hot-swappable battery packs and secure system software.

The Motorola ET1 Enterprise Tablet also offers Wi-Fi connectivity and provides easy password-protected sharing option to every employee in the company according to his access rights. The specifications of Et1 by Motorola Solutions includes 7-inch capacitive Gorila Glass Display with 1024×600 pixels resolution, 8MP rear camera with LED Flash and Front camera for video calling. It runs on a OMAP4 dual-core 1 GHz x2 +DSP along with 1GB RAM, 4GB Flash+4GB microSD card (4+4=8GB) and supports up to 32GB micro SD cards. The tablet comes pre-installed with Google Android 2.3.4 Operating System which is specifically enhanced for Enterprise level functions. The connectors includes 1USB 2.0 OTG connector, 1USB 2.0 Host connector, and HDMI-out.

Motorola is providing various apps including Assisted selling, Mobile point of sale (mPOS), Manager electronic dashboards, Planogram management and compliance, and Item locator. The Motorola ET1 is also powered by software modules including RhoElements (HTML5 application enablement framework) which allows business users to develop and deploy apps on Windows Embedded Handheld and even on Android smartphones. ET1 also offers enterprise-level accessories, such as multi-slot recharging stations, Hot-swappable rechargeable battery pack, bluetooth based handheld bar-code scanner, mobile-payment readers and printers, and hand strap for easy handling. The Motorola ET1 is powered by 4620 mAH rechargeable Smart Li-Ion battery and supports 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR connectivity.
