Kingston Digital has today announced the launch of latest Kingston SSDNow KC100 business-equipped SSD. This latest Kingston product features SandForce controller for superior performance and blazing fast and instant booting time of the computers.
The company has mentioned that this latest SSD is only business-equipped SSD that offers enterprise-level S.M.A.R.T monitor statistics tools for health and life stage including Reliability Tracking, Usage Statistics, Life Remaining, Power Loss, Wear Leveling, Temperature, Drive Life Protection of the SSD. Its 120GB and 240GB versions are rated to deliver 555MB/sec and 480GB delivers up to 540MB/sec read speeds, whereas up to 240MB/sec is claimed when connected with SATA 2 interface PCs. The 120GB. 240GB and 510MB KC100 SSD delivers up to 510MB/sec and 480GB deliver up to 450MB/sec data transfer speeds with SATA 3 Interface, whereas up to 260MB/sec with SATA 2 interface.
The Kingston SSDNow KC100 business-equipped SSD has 2.5-inch form factor and operates at 0°C – 70°C temperatures. Its dimensions are 69.85mm x 100mm x 9.5mm and power specs includes 0.455 W (TYP) Idle, 1.6 W (TYP) Read, and 2.05 W (TYP) Write. This SSD is currently shipping in U.S., and expected to be launch in India soon.
