EDIMAX Launches AR-7211A/B ADSL2+ Modem Router in India

EDIMAX Technology has announced the launch of new EDIMAX AR-7211A/B ADSL2+ modem router in India.

The EDIMAX AR-7211A/B is equipped with WAN, LAN and USB Ports and claimed to deliver high performance. This broadband router is equipped with ADSL2+ modem that enables up to 24Mbps download speeds and up to 1MBps upload speeds. This latest ADSL router is equipped with RJ-11 WAN port for the ADSL connection, RJ-45 Ethernet LAN port and a USB port that enables wired connections with other devices.

The EDIMAX AR-7211A/B is fully compatible with all ADSL services and the AR-7211A/B ADSL router is able to run at speeds of up to 24Mbps downstream and 1Mbps upstream, providing higher data rates than traditional ADSL systems. It is also backward compatible with existing ADSL services and interoperable with legacy equipment. This ADSL router supports G.992.1 (G.DMT), G.992.2 (G.Lite), G.992.3 (ADSL2), G.992.4 (splitterless ADSL2), and G.992.5 (ADSL2+) for Annex A, B, L.

Besides, it features Firewall that protects computers from various attacks such as SYN floods, ping of deaths, Teardrop attacks, fraggle attacks, Smurf attacks, and LAND attacks etc. Users can easily block designated IP addresses and can also restrict them to access various services like Web, Telnet, Ping, FTP, and SNMP for enhanced security. The Edimax AR-7211A/B comes with EZmax multi-language wizard, which allows users to setup the connection and installing the USB driver to access the Internet via the USB port. EZMax’s CD is included in the sales package.

The Edimax AR-7211 A/B ADSL modem router is now available at suggested retail Price of Rs. 1200 through all the major computer stores in India.
