Transcend RDF8 USB 3.0 Multi-Card Reader Launched in India

Transcend has just launched its new USB 3.0 multi-card reader, the Transcend RDF8 in India. Like other modern card readers nowadays, The new card reader from Transcend also supports all the new ultra high-speed card formats, according to the company.

The Transcend RDF8 card reader is good option for photographers and video enthusiasts, who wants a high performance card reader at an affordable price. The RDF8 supports all major cards including SDHC UHS-1, SDXC UHS-1, UDMA6/UDMA7 CF and MSXC cards. This multi-card support enables users to copy all the large size images or Full HD 1080p videos from memory card to the computer. As the card reader is equipped with SuperSpeed USB 3.0 connection, it delivers data transfer speeds almost double compared to traditional USB 2.0 card readers. With the USB 3.0, the Ultra High Speed (UHS-1) SD card can copy a 1GB file in maximum of 12 seconds, the company claimed.

The Transcend RDF8 USB 3.0 card reader boasts four slots, including CompactFlash (CF) slot for UDMA CF cards, SDHC/SDXC slot that supports UHS-1 standard, dedicated slot for MS PRO/MSXC/MS DUO cards, and a smaller slot for M2/microSD cards. If your PC is not yet USB 3.0 enabled, then this card reader supports USB 2.0 interface as well and it accepts older CF, SD and SDHC cards. The RDF8 comes with free download of RecoveRx data recovery software for Mac and Windows which keeps user’s precious data from accidental loss.
