Sony Ericsson have today officially announced the launch of latest addition to their Walkman Series of Smartphones, the Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman. It is yet another Android Smartphone from the company.

The Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman runs on latest Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread Operating System and it is social music oriented phone. It integrated with dedicated Walkman hardware button that provides instant access to music player that enables consumers to like, share or discover content with Facebook Integration, whereas infinite button and *Qriocity service of the company aims to further enhance the enjoyment of the user with providing latest music and video titles.

The Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman Android Smartphone boasts an attractive curved design with glossy finish and equipped with a 3.2-inch screen and powered by a 1Ghz processor. The dual cameras also integrated, the 5MP main camera with autofocus and face detection technology, that can capture 720 HD video as well as front-facing camera is also enabled for Skype video calling. As name suggestes and as the ‘Sonly Walkmans’ are know for, this phone also delivers enhanced sound output with Sony’s xLOUD that improves the performance of inbuilt speakers at high levels.

The Live with Walkman comes with various functions, i.e. Media Discovery Application, Track ID etc. The Media Discovery Application is a dynamic solution that makes it easy for consumers to explore music and videos as well as Facebook Recommendations of their friends. Whereas, Infinite button provides quick access to new media content of their favorite artist or music videos as well as artist information and lyrics search. Apart from these regular specifications, the phone also lets users to download over 250,000 applications on the Android Market.

The Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman Android Powered Smartphone  has dimensions of 56.5 x 106 x 14.2 mm and 115g weight. Connectivity features includes aGPS, Bluetooth, DLNA Certified, Google Latitude, Google Maps for Mobile, Google Maps with Street View as well as Media Transfer Protocol support. The phone also supports Native USB tethering in addition to Micro USB, and the plenty of synchronisation options also features including Google Sync, Facebook, Sony Ericsson Sync, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync and standard synchronisation with computer. The phone boasts USB 2.0 interface and also supports WiFi, Wi-Fi Hotspot, and Wisepilot turn-by-turn navigation. The Live with Walkman Smartphone hast a long backup battery that is claimed to provide up to 14 hrs 15 min talktime and up to 600 hrs of standby time, or Music listening time up to 17 hrs 30 min and Video listening time Up to 6 hrs 30 min.

The Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman Android Smartphone will be available starting October 2011 globally in selected markets including UK and USA markets. We hope that it would be launched in India soon at an affordable price tag.
