Western Digital has today announced the next version of its highly popular My Book Studio external hard drives for Mac Computers and Apple Time Machine. These new WD HDDs designed for Macs are now available in 3TB storage capacity and is packed in a latest brushed aluminum case that fully match the looks of Mac Computers. The company said that the drive runs cool while in use.

My Book Studio external hard drives from Western Digital doesn’t integrates internal fan that reduce the noise of drive and increase overall life, Thanks to WD Caviar Green Drive with WD GreenPower Technology which are combined with these Mac Drives. According to the company, the features of these drives are specially engineered for creative professionals and Mac computer enthusiasts. These drives includes FireWire 800/400 as well as USB 2.0 interfaces. Though these WD drives are formatted for Mac computers, but they can also be reformatted for Window PCs.
