Nokia E7 Launched in India – The Nokia Communicator Returns!

Mobile Phones Giant, Nokia has finally launched most anticipated smartphone, Nokia E7 in India. With the launch of Nokia E7, Nokia saying is the new avatar of Communicator. We’d reported announcement of Nokia E7 in Feburary.

The Nokia E7 has been launched by Nokia’s brand ambassador Shahrukh Khan, he said, “As a technoholic, a device has to be high on innovation and functionality to catch my attention. Nokia has always impressed me with novel and user friendly features – I still have my Nokia Communicator from 1996! I have been waiting for the Nokia Communicator in a new avatar so when I heard about the E7, I couldn’t wait to get one. Nokia approached me as a product tester and I was supposed to give feedback to Nokia. I have used the Nokia E7 for over a month. I am totally hooked to it and it has become my constant business companion. Nokia E7 is equipped with 4-inch AMOLDED touchscreen display with ClearBlack technology for enhanced picture clarity. It features full QWERTY keyboard for fast and comfortable typing experience and features secure intranet access with built-in VPN. For capturing images and recording videos, it is equipped with 8-megapixel camera and dual LED flash. Users will able to show their images and videos on a bigger screen through HDMI connectivity option. The smartphone has 16GB on-board memory and it can be expanded using USB-On-The-Go feature that enables users to share files by connecting a USB stick to the smartphone. The phone comes with pre-loaded Adobe Reader to read PDF files in phone, and switching between multiple apps is so much easy with Nokia E7’s user friendly interface.

The Nokia E7 boasts of Microsoft Exchange and full suite of multimedia and Ovi applications. Nokia has also offered 10,000 nos. of locally relevant content on the Ovi Store for Indian Customers of Nokia E7 including 3 business channels in a Web TV format- CNBC TV18, CNBC Awaaz and Bloomberg – that E7 consumers can download free of cost from the Ovi Store.

Nokia E7 comes with full set of pre-loaded applications such as Mail for Exchange, IBM Lotus Notes Traveler, Quick office Dynamic Premium, Vlingo, Adobe PDF reader, World traveler App, F-Secure anti-theft software for mobile and Nokia Ovi Maps with free GPS navigation. The applications allows users to create and edit new documents and presentations in addition to opening and reading office documents. The Nokia E7 is Business oriented phone that allows users to stay in sync with their office. Nokia has tied up Vodafone to offer 2GB data per month free for 6 months with this phone. Offer is available on both 3G and 2G (pre-pad and post-paid consumers).

The Nokia E7 is now available for purchase at Price Rs. 29,999. It is available through all Nokia Priority Stores. Nokia has  also offered easy payment scheme, in which consumers can purchase the Nokia E7 under and easy payment scheme of three monthly installments (EM) at zero percent interest. The scheme is available through over 176 Nokia Priority outlets across eight cities Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai, Ahmadabad and Chandigarh. Nokia joined hands with Citibank, HDFC Bank, Standard Chartered and ICICI Bank for the Easy EMI scheme to the credit card holders.
