ASUS has unveiled the ASUS Eee PC 1015B and 1215B netbooks. These new ASUS Eee PC Netbooks are based on the new AMD Brazos platform, that features either an E-Series or C-Series Fusion Accelerated Processing Unit (APU) to enable enhanced PC experience and long battery backup. AMD APUs integrates a CPU and GPU on the same die aka chip, which improves data transfer speed between components and lower power consumption. The new platform is equipped with latest graphics technology with DirectX 11 support for high quality visuals.
The ASUS Eee PC 1215B is a 12-inch netbook which is powered by AMD E-350 1.6GHz dual core processor, while the ASUS Eee PC 1015B is a 10-inch netbook which is powered by AMD C-50 1.0GHz dual core processor. The AMD E-350 processor has 18W TDP Power draw, and the AMD C-50 processor has 9W TDP Power, which makes it power efficient processors. The Brazos platform based netbooks are comparable to discret GPU notebooks, but these are power efficient. The ASUS Eee PC 1215B and 1015B are integrated with an AMD Radeon HD6310 GPU and HD6250 GPU, respectively, with DirectX 11 support for better gaming and multimedia experience.
Both the ASUS Eee PC 1015B and 1215B netbooks features a HDMI port that enables full 1080p HD playback to a compatible screen such as HDTV. These netbooks are incorporates ASUS Super Hybrid Engine Technology along with AMD Fusion APU, delivers extended battery life of upto 8.5 hours, allowing users do their computing tasks without any interruption and without any need to constantly recharge. Both the netbooks are equipped with multi ports and connectivity options including USB 3.0 port which is 10 times faster than traditional USB 2.0, Bluetooth 3.0 and 802.11n Wi-Fi enables users to stay connected wirelessly. Both the netbooks also equipped with built-in webcam with user-friendly camera cover design for additional privacy.
