Sony SLT-A55V and SLT-A33 DSLR Cameras Launched in India

Sony India has launched recently, its new DSLR cameras, the 55 (SLT-A55V) and 33 (SLT-A33) in Indian market.

The Sony SLT-A55V and SLT-A33 both the cameras are equipped with Translucent Mirror Technology to deliver superior images and high performance while recording videos. The cameras are also equipped with TTL phase-detection auto focus and high speed continuous shooting with autofocus (AF). This hi-end feature were previously available only on professional grade cameras.

The compact size cameras, replaces the movable mirror used in conventional DSLR cameras with Sony’s Translucent Mirror Technology which uses a fixed translucent mirror that does not required to be raised and lowered each time the shutter is released. The mirror enables lens to be simultaneously received by the image sensor and the auto focus sensor. The cameras has world’s fastest continuous shooting speeds at up to 10 frames per second with continuous AF on the SLT-A55V, and up to 7 frames per second on the SLT-A33V. They are capable to record Full HD AVCHD movies (1920 x 1080 / 60i, 50i). The cameras are equipped with latest Sony Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor that captures images of up to 16.2 megapixels on the SLT-A55V and 14.2 megapixels on the SLT-A33V 33. Both the cameras features fast phase detection autofocus (AF), means if subject moves quickly toward and away from camera is easily captures in focus.

The 15-point phase-detection AF system, interchangeable lens cameras, and Sony Translucent Mirror Technology turns user experience into new level, it features World’s first Quick AF Live View show images directly from the image sensor, instead of a dedicated live view sensor, that allows photographers to choose between using the viewfinder or LCD monitor with full performance. Apart from this both the cameras are equipped with new Tru-Finder that boasts Tru-Finder for 100% frame coverage with effective resolution of 1.15 million conversion dots (1.44 million total dots conversion).

Other features includes- Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor, BIONZ high-speed image processing engine and Ultra-high ISO sensitivity (ISO 100-12,800), Multi-frame NR automatically captures six frames and combines them into a single JPEG image to reduce noise The AUTO+ mode analyze the scene and shooting conditions, and applies appropriate settings such as shutter speed and burst shooting for fast-moving subjects, and Auto HDR for backlit subjects. The 3D Sweep Panorama captures impressive panoramic photos in 3D and then allows them to be viewed on any HDMI compatible LCD TV. In addition, Geo-tagging is also a main feature, the GPS tag images with the geographical location where they were taken. When photos viewed on a computer with the bundled Picture Motion Browser (PMB) software or on a compatible Photo Map function equipped BRAVIA TV, the geo-tagged images are displayed on a world map.

The feature rich 55 (SLT-A55V) and 33 (SLT-A33) are now available at Price Rs. 47,990 & Rs. 37,990 respectively at all Sony Centers and other electronic stores across India. Company is offering free original Sony Carry Case and 4GB memory card included in the sales package.
