There was rumors saying that HTC is coming with Facebook Phones, but it was not confirmed until now. But now, it is confirmed, HTC has officially announced its Facebook Phones, the HTC ChaCha and HTC Salsa at Mobile World Congress in BARCELONA, SPAIN. Apart from this, Company has also unveiled HTC Flyer tablet.
HTC ChaCha and HTC Salsa are one of the those HTC Sense equipped devices which are being unveiled at Mobile World Congress 2011. Both the phones comes with dedicated Facebook button that allows you to instantly update your, and share content to your Facebook Friends. Both the devices powered by Google Android Gingerbread 2.3.3, Operating System and features HTC Sense for superb Facebook experience.
HTC ChaCha: It is a QWERY Keyboard phone that is designed for social networking websites. It is equipped with 2.60-inch touchscreen with 480×320 pixels resolution, 5 megapixel camera with auto focus and LED flash, allowin you to capture moments of your life with High-Definition detail, and VGA front-facing camera allows you video calling.
HTC Salsa: It also boasts same Facebook integration as HTC ChaCha. It has a 5-megapixel camera with auto focus and LED flash and boasts 3.4-inch touchscreen display with 480×320 pixels resolution. It allows you to get connected with your Facebook friends with single touch of a button, and the VGA front-facing camera enables video calling.
HTC Salsa and Chacha are powered by 600 MHz processors, and the HTC Salsa features HTC Sense UI. HTC ChaCha and HTC Salsa smartphones will be available European and Asian Countries by second quarter of this year, and HTC will release these phones in US with AT&T later this year.
HTC Flyer Tablet
HTC Flyer is the first tablet which is equipped with HTC Sense. HTC Flyer delivers superb combination of touch and pen interaction. HTC has also announced HTC Watch, which is a connected video service that features on HTC Flyer tablet and will collaborate with OnLive, Inc. to launch the first cloud-based mobile gaming service on a tablet. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz processor and runs on Android 2.4 Operating System and features HTC Sense UI. It is equipped with 7-inch screen with 1024×600 pixels resolution and 5 megapixel auto-focus camera, and 1.3 megapixel front facing camera for video calling. It supports expandable memory up to 32 GB. It supports 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP Connectivity options. It also features HTC Scribe (pen that comes with the tablet). HTC Scribe Technology transforms tablet’s traditional note-taking into smart note-taking by integrating natural onscreen writing.
HTC Flyer will be available globally by second quarter of 2011.
