Fujitsu PC Asia Pacific has announced the first netbook based on MeeGo operating system the Fujitsu LIFEBOOK MH330.
According to the Fujitsu, this MeeeGo based netbook will set new standards in today’s PC industry with superb computing experience. The company said this netbook has been developed by combined efforts of Fujitsu and Intel. But we want to remember you readers, this LIFEBOOK MH330 netbook is not a new model, Fujitsu has only integrated lightweight operating system MeeGo into this netbook. The netbook is powered by 1.66GHz Intel Atom N455 ultraportable processor and 1GB RAM. It is equipped with a 250GB hard drive and a 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 LED-backlit screen.
Acccording to the Ram Peddibhotla, System Software Marketing Director of Intel Corporation, “The MeeGo open source software platform with Intel® Atom™ processors give mobile device manufacturers both the freedom and the powerful capabilities to suit a consumer’s mobile lifestyle. Intel welcomes Fujitsu and other manufacturers to the MeeGo ecosystem to give consumers a personalized netbook experience with the benefits of an optimized battery life, rich multimedia support and fast boot time.”
The Refreshed Fujitsu LIFEBOOK MH330 features user friendly interface of MeeGo OS, that enables you to to access various application including social networking sites, multimedia functions, and others. With MeeGo OS, company said that netbook will reboot fastly and the web-page loading time would be also fast. Apart from this, users will also able to manage system devices, networks, time and date, and emails, all through the simple navigation panels. The netbook also features special MeeGo media panel, which enables organized view of your videos and music files stored that are stores in the media library, and offers instant access and playback of your favourite multimedia content such as songs or videos. It also features Myzone panel, which gives provides snapshot of the user’s personal activity, and also displays updates about the happenings in user’s social media websites friends circle. With LIFEBOOK MH330, you will always get connected to all the popular social network websites, such as Twitter and Facebook and via chat. There is no word from the company yet on Price and availability of the netbook. But according to the reports, the Fujitsu LIFEBOOK MH330 will cost around $400 (Approx Rs. 18200). We hope that it’ll get launched everywhere including India soon.
