Just after the release of Glam XT800, Now Motorola Defy also officially makes its way to Indian shores.

Motorola has officially launched its Android Powered Smartphone, Motorola Defy in India. Motorola Defy features MOTOBLUR  thats lets you stream your emails and social networks into one feed. It also features Secure Server for Backup so that you won’t loss any data. The handset is dust proof, boredom proof, water resistant, as well as scratch resistant that makes it a long life handset. The Motorola Defy is equipped Hi-resolutions edge-to-edge display with Gorilla Glass that prevents it from possible scratches after a drop.

Motorola Defy features CrystalTalk Plus technology with microfone, which amplifies voice and filter unwanted noice even when you’re in traffic. The handset is powered by TI OMAP3610 800 MHz processor and Google Android Eclair 2.1 Operating System, and Android Froyo 2.2 update will be released soon. The handset had ‘Touch Tablet’ form factor and boasts 3.7-inch WVGA touchscreen display with 480 x 854 pixels resolution and 5MP autofocus camera with LED Flash, also features Real-time color effects, and scene modes. It comes with 2GB internal memory, 2GB microSD card (included in sales package), 512 of RAM, and supports MicroSD cards up to 32GB. It also features Ambient light and proximity sensors. The phone has all multimedia features including FM Radio, Android Media Player which support playback of eAAC+, MP3, AMR WB, MPEG-4, H.264, AAC, WMA9, AAC+ formats. The phone captures and playback videos at 26-30 fps.

Motorola Defy is packed with all connectivity features- Android HTML Webkit with Adobe Flash Lite 3, Stereo Bluetooth Class 2, Version 2.1 + EDR (support profiles, A2DP, AVRCP, HFP, HID, HSP, OPP, PAN, PBAP, SPP), Supports Corporate calendar, email and contacts (Exchange 2003 and 2007), Google contacts, calendar and Gmail, Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Photobucket, Picasa, Last.FM and Yahoo Mail contacts. It has Micro USB (USB 2.0 High Speed upto 480 Mbps) connector and comes with aGPS (assisted), Google Maps, Google Maps™ Navigation, eCompass inbuilt applications. The phone supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity and you can also share your content wirelessly with other DLNA eenabled devices and comes with 3.5 mm headset jack.

As the Motorola Defy is Android Powered, it comes with all Google applications including, Google Calendar, Google Contact Sync, Google Latitude, Google Mail, Google Maps Street View, Google Maps, Google Maps Navigation, Google News and Weather Widgets (With 2.1 and Higher), Google Search By Voice, and Youtube etc.The phone supports downloading thousands of free applications downloads from Android market. The MOTOBLUR manages Battery manger, Caller ID, Customizable Home Screen, Messaging, Phonebook, Photosharing, and integrated MySpace, Photobucket, Picasa and Facebook. The phone comes with 1540 mAh battery that provides upto 6.8 hours of talktime and upto 9.9 days of standby time.
