Via and Simmtronics has joined hands to launch a full lineup of innovative Green computing products, including the sub- Rs.10000 SIMM PC and a wide range of power-efficient VIA pc-1 mainboards.
Both companies Via and Simmtronics had recently signed a agreement. According to the terms of this agreement, Simmtronics will assemble the motherboards in its manufacturing facility in Roorkee, Uttaranchal, India. Simmtronics will distribute its products through its channel partners in 15 other countries, in addition to India, which includes Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Dubai, UAE, Turkey, Iraq, Algeria, and Ghana.

SIMM PC will be powered by a VIA C7-D 1.6GHz processor, 512MB RAM, and 250 GB HDD with a 15.6” LCD monitor with a 15.6” LCD monitor, Ubuntu OS, Keyboard and a optical mouse. VIA pc-1 Series Mainboards are fully energy-efficient green motherboards that offers choice oc VIA C7 and VIA Nano processors, including the entry-level PC2000E+ green motherboard and the mainstream PC3000E+ and PC3500N green platforms.DDR3 SDRAM, Simmtronics has also planned to introduce DDR3 SDRAM supported upcoming VIA VX900E green motherboard later on in the first quarter. All VIA Mainboards offered by Simmtronics come will be backed by a three-year warrantee and local RMA support provided through nearly twenty authorized Simmtronics support centres across India.
